Anchorage School participated in Nation Walk to School Day last week (it was technically over our fall break, so we picked 10/14 as OUR walk-to-school day). A great reminder of the importance of exercise in our lives. Many thanks to Kelley Ransdell, Pat Vaughn, and our Nutrition Committee chair Jeff Ellison for coordinating. A very special shout-out to Fred & Prem Durham for bringing in 200 freshly picked local apples (picked by Reynolds Grocery at Bray’s Orchard) and Sue in the cafeteria for washing every one of them before they were given to students.
