We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE books and were thrilled to get Ms. Lanham’s request to refresh the 8th grade reading list over the next three years. She put so much thought into her request, researching the books traditionally taught as well as unique books to engage reluctant readers. This year, through the APTA Cares fund, we are excited to have purchased 50 copies each of the following books for the books:

The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman
Night by Elie Wiessel
Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
The APTA Cares Fund is an annual fund set aside to fund unique educational and curriculum enhancement opportunities. Interested teachers apply for these funds two times annually and the APTA funds projects based on money available impact of the application.
