Technology can be a great resource in the classroom and we love that the APTA was able to fund 2 iPad keyboards for the LEAPS classes based on an APTA Cares request from Susanne Hannigan.
These keyboards will help students with significant handwriting issues by using the keyboards in lieu of written work. This will increase accuracy and typing proficency. They will be able to complete work on iPads and wirelessly print their finished product.
The APTA Cares Fund is an annual fund set aside to fund unique educational and curriculum enhancement opportunities. Interested teachers apply for these funds two times annually and the APTA funds projects based on money available impact of the application.
